The Historian & The Astronomer
An analogy between the practices of the historian and the astronomer from George Kubler's The Shape of Time. As an idea, it has occupied a central role in my practice. It has manifested itself in much, if not all of my work, but is featured as the title of a hardcover book, a guest edited issue of ...mbg which you can find a link to below, an installation of xerox's, drawings, and found materials, as well as a number of individual drawings. It can also be seen as the heading under which the research phase of my work falls.
