Sixteen Tons
A solo project at The Old Jail Art Center in Albany, TX. Part of their Cell Series the exhibition addresses the American West and the multiple ways we experience and historicize it as well as the symbols utilized to represent it. Consisting of drawings, a newspaper, and three sound pieces, the show references concepts relating to the sublime, manifest destiny, our longing to explore the void, and the relationship between myth and truth.
